Dark Slope is proud to announce a new partnership with the Canadian Society of Cinematographers.
Dark Slope is proud to announce a new partnership with the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC), reinforcing their commitment to empowering cinematographers and production teams with top-quality virtual production tools and expertise.
“We’re really excited to be bringing Dark Slope into the partnership group that enables us to offer cinematographers the best in virtual production training,” says CSC CEO Susan Saranchuk. “At 35,000 square feet, the studio comprises multiple soundstages, including an LED volume that is 82 feet wide and 16.5 feet high. That means our members have incredible technology and expertise at their disposal.”
“Dark Slope is not only committed to delivering expertise in virtual production but also to enhancing the capabilities of skilled filmmaking professionals like cinematographers through initiatives like the one with CSC to help further develop the overall landscape of the entertainment industry,” says Virtual Production Producer Vikram Verma. “We are excited to be partnering with CSC as it will empower the creative crew to explore possibilities with virtual production, using the latest tools to help their vision come to life.”
Dark Slope’s studio expansion in Toronto is driven by a shared vision with the CSC to democratize virtual production, making it accessible to a wider range of storytellers and creators. “These are strategic values we share and want to promote in the industry,” adds Saranchuk.
Dark Slope and the CSC will kick-off their collaboration with a one-day intensive virtual production workshop, to be held at Dark Slope on September 14th, 2024. More details will be released soon to CSC members.
